At Ambay Plastic Surgery, we believe that education is key.

Dr. Ambay has taught over 700 lectures and written numerous award-winning research papers over the last several years. Dr. Ambay is featured on ABC’s “Morning Blend” to discuss the DIEP flap procedure. The DIEP flap procedure is an advanced breast reconstruction procedure for women just diagnosed with breast cancer, post mastectomy and even after failed reconstruction. Watch below to find out more…

Dr. Ambay is shown below with one of his breast reconstruction patients in the Fall 2016 issue of Inspired Tampa Bay. In this local health and wellness magazine his patient, Michelle Hall, speaks about her journey through gene mutations, disease and cancer. Click the article below (Pages 4-5) to read about the tough decisions shes had to make and how Dr. Ambay was able to restore her hope and confidence.

Dr. Ambay is featured on Fox 13 news with one of his patients. In this segment his patient describes her battle with the genetic mutation known as BRCA2, Ehlers-Danlofs Syndrome, a double mastectomy, the removal of her ovaries and a failed breast reconstruction. Click below to see how Dr. Ambay was able to give his patient a new hope by creating breasts using the tissue and fat from the stomach. This is a new innovative procedure known as the DIEP flap.

Dr. Raj Ambay is a man of many uniforms. During halftime at the Tampa Bay Lightning game vs Chicago Blackhawks, Dr. Ambay was surprised to hear the announcer mention his name. The jumbo-tron displayed a tribute to his military service in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as his volunteered time for cancer survivors in need of specialized reconstruction. The standing ovation from 20,000 people and the outpour of support that followed are moments that Dr. Ambay will always remember.
